New cooling engine and optimized flow pathsThrough all developments, the cooling engine took the biggest evolutionary step. We gave the cold plate significantly thinner fins, which results in a larger surface and better heat dissipation. At the same time, we made sure that the flow rate isn’t impacted by this.
We dropped the separate jet plate design, but integrated its mechanics directly into the top. This new technology improves performance, flow rate, and reliability.

But the design should also be worthy of a WATERCOOL product. Only the highest quality raw materials combined with the most cutting edge manufacturing technologies make a true HEATKILLER® IV. As a final touch on the design , why took care of our customers’ requests and made the block compatible with fittings of up to 19mm width.
For mounting on the socket LGA1700 we strongly recommend one of the available backplates (10014, 10016) due to the socket problems (bending).
All HEATKILLER® components are manufactured on our own CNC machines at the WATERCOOL headquarters in Waren, Germany. Many steps of the process are manual labor and each product is finished under dual control principle. This is truly “Made in Germany”.
